Pledge $125,000 Toward Hillel Foundation Work

A quota of $125,000 for Pennsylvania during the next five years for Pennsylvania during the next five years for the Hillel Foundation of the Independent Order B’nai Brith was adopted at a meeting of leaders of the Jewish communities in the Lehigh Valley, held here.

Hon. Joseph L. Kun, former deputy attorney general of Philadelphia, outlined the work of the B’nai Brith and the work planned in the American colleges by the Hillel Foundation. Among those who attended the Conference were A. B. Jaffee and Jacob Mayer of Easton. Emanuel Wise and J. W. H. Glass of Reading, Archie Levy and Joseph Silberman of Chester; Joseph Weiss of Morristown, Samuel Feldman of Swayersville, Abe Finkelstein of Luzern, John Hartman, Abraham Potruch of Bethlehem, Isaac Goldberg of Coatesville, Harry Cohen of Lancaster, Harry Haltzell, Charles Kline, Rabbi Harry Kaplan, Sol Hoffman, Dr. Maurice Kemp, Ben Coleman, Dr. M. B. Walkow and Miss Sarah Cohen of Allentown.
