Ica, Hias and Emigdirekt Sign Agreement for Immigrant Aid Cooperation

Joint Budget Calls for $166,000 (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

A provisional agreement calling for the cooperation of the Jewish Colonization Association (Ica), the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society of America (Hias) and the United Jewish emigration Committee (Emigdirekt) concerning the work of aiding Jewish emigrants was signed here yesterday.

The agreement, which will be in operation for three years, was signed by Dr. Louis Oungre, James Simon, Dr. M. Krainin and Dr. James Bernstein.

The annual budget will amount to $166,000, of which the Hias has pledged itself to furnish $100,000 and the Ica $66,000.
