Minister of the Interior Octavian Goga received today a delegation including Deputy Meyer Ebner and Senator Klueger. The delegation came before the Minister to plead for government protection against anti-Jewish excesses.

The delegation had particular reference to the excesses which occurred during the last few days in Grosswardein and Jassy.

Goga assured the delegation the government will take strong measures to prevent a recurrence of the excesses.

The Roumanian newspaper “Adeverul” reports today that a memorandum complaining against the recurrence of anti-Jewish excesses was submitted by the Jewish community to Premier Averescu, to Minister of the Interior Goga and General Rischcanu. The memorandum enumerates a number of cases where old men, women and children were thrown out of moving trains between stations on the railway line Skumpia-Paleschiti.
