The Harmon awards for outstanding contributions in 1927 toward improving relations between white people and negroes was conferred upon Julius Rosenwald and James W. Dillard, educator of Charlottesville. Va.

The Commission on Race Relations of the Federal Council of Churches presented the awards at the First Congregational Church yesterday.
