The Sixteenth Zionist Congress will last ten days, according to the agenda made public today by the London Zionist Executive. The Congress will be opened by Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, at the Town Theatre, Zurich, Switzerland, on July 28 at 4:30 in the afternoon. In the program of the Congress’s work, August 6 is given as the date the sessions are expected to end.
A memorial address on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the death of Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of the Zionist movement, will be delivered by Nahum Sokolow, chairman of the Zionist Executive.
The following papers will be presented to the Congress: Dr. Arthur Ruppin, “The Importance of Palestine for the Jewish Future; Dr. Chaim Weizmann, report on past activities and program for future work; Felix Rosenblueth, the constitution of the Jewish Agency; Dr. Selig Brodetsky, “Future Problems of the Zionist Organization; Harry Sacher, “Palestine Work and the Zionist Organization”; Arthur Hantke, “Problems and the Program of the Keren Hayesod”; M. M. Ussishkin, “The Achievements and Expectations of the Keren Kayemath.”
Papers will also be presented on Hebrew cultural work in the Diaspora and on the preparation of Chaluzim for Palestine work.
