A bust of Hugo Preuss, author of the text of the German republican constitution, was placed in the Reichstag on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Republic and the adoption of the Weimar constitution.

The late Herr Preuss, who was one of Germany’s leading jurists, occupied a place of honor next to the then president of the Republic, Ebert, at every constitution celebration.
