A distinguished gathering of German political figures and persons high in Baden society were part of the great number that attended the funeral yesterday of Ludwig Haas at the Jewish cemetery in Carlsruhe. The sermon at the last rites for the late leader of the Democratic party and member of the Reichstag since 1912 was delivered by Rabbi Deitrich. Dr. Joseph Wirth, minister of the interior of Germany, and Dr. M. Schmidt, state president of Baden, declared that the death of Haas was a great loss to Germany.
