Students of the Jewish Institute of Religion will convene on the evening of October 8th to attend the opening exercises of the ninth academic year of the Institute. Classes begin regular work the following day. The address, “The Drawing of the Waters” will be delivered by Dr. Gerson B. Levi, Rabbi of Temple Isaiah-Israel of Chicago and editor of the Reform Advocate.
Sixty-six students have registered for the courses of study which lead to the degrees of Doctor of Hebrew Literature, Master of Hebrew Literature, and Rabbi.
