Although some time has elapsed since Moses Zutch, accused of organizing pogroms against the White Russians, has been vindicated by the High Court of the Manchukuo Government, he is still under arrest, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency is informed.
A representative of the Foreign Ministry of Manchukuo attributed Zutch’s continued detention to the fact that he had too many enemies in Harbin, who would secure his death if he were given his freedom. The Russian press reports that Zutch is kept in solitary confinement, with his hands and feet fettered, because, after his vindication, he made an unsuccessful effort to escape.
