Dr. Lena Kenin, Portland physician, has been appointed resident physisian of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. She is the first woman to hold the post. Dr. Kenin, a native of this city, is the daughter of Mrs. David Nemerovsky.

She is a graduate of the University of Washington and did postgraduate work in Chicago. Her husband is an attorney and active in Jewish affairs. She is the sister-in-law of Miss Fannie Kenin, director of the Educational Center in Seattle.
