A cable was received here recently ordering immediate shipment of fifty second-hand automobiles to Jerusalem where they are to be used as taxicabs for service between large cities.

Henry Shacter, local dealer in used cars who has moved with his family to Palestine, cabled the request. He is at the present time engaged in agricultural pursuits in the vicinity of the Dead Sea where he owns land.

The automobiles will relieve much of the overcrowded bus service between Tel Aviv and Haifa.
