Junior Federation Holds Charity Ball

The fifth annual charity bail of the Junior Feberation of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities was held at the Hotel Plaza in New York last night. A bout 2,000 attended the affair, at which noted stage and screen stars provided entertainment.

Harry Silverman and Miss Edith Bernard were on the special committee to further the ball. Ned L. Pines and Miss Sylvia D’Lugashc, who were on the general ball commttee, led the grand march.

The text of a letter of commedation from Justice Mitchell May, president of the parent organization, follows:

“When the history of Brooklyn Jewry is written, one of its brightest pages will describe the birth and growth of Junior Federation.

“When I speak of the growth of your the significant increase in membership, but more particularly, the remarkably firm root it has taken and developed in our communiry affairs.”
