Endorsement of the Tydings resollution by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations was conveyed to Key Pittaman, chariman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the United States Senate, in a message from Ludwing Vogestein, president of th Union. The message stated:
“I think it will interest you to learn that the constituency of our organization is deeply interested in the adopton of this resolution. Our organization is jprobably the oldest religious national organization in the United States. We have 287 member organizations which probably represent 250,000 people We endorse th resolution as ##mended and bespeak your kindly interest in this matter.”
