A vigorous debate on British policy in Palestine was precipated today in the House of Lords when Lord Templetown, who is outspokenly pro-Arab, asked if the government was prepared to follow the declaration on Arab national rights made by Lord Passfield when the latter was Colonial Secretary in the MacDonald Labor cabinet.

Lord Snell, Laborite, who declared that he was speaking for himself and not officially for the Labor party, stated that he had the highest regard for the Arabs, but said that they had no real grievance as Lord Templetown suggested.
