The General Council of the Prussian Federation of Jewish Communities, which met here today, decided to extend the term of office for officials of the Federation until September, 1936.

Dr. Leo Baeck, president of the All-German Jewish Representative Body, central German Jewish organization, who addressed the meeting as a member of the council, described the close and friendly collaboration between the Federation and his organization.

He declared German Jewry is badly in need of assistance from co-religionists abroad, but stated that “honor demands that we stand on our own feet as soon as possible. For when the history of the present will be written, economic questions will recede into the background and the emphasis will be on the spiritual dignity of German Jewry.”
