A Nazi leader spoke insultingly of a member of the board of directors of La Nacion, official newspaper of Chile, whereupon La Nacion began an offensive against the Nazis, instead of supporting them as heretofore.

The Nazi leader is Jorje G. von Mares. The director is Cornelio Savedra Mont. At a Nazi meeting von Mares spoke of Mont in a manner which displeased the latter, who challenged the Nazi to a duel. Von Mares did not reply and Mont took the case to court. Immediately after the incident La Nacion began a campaign calling for the extermination of Nazi activity in Chile as disloyal to the Chilean government, and aimed against the people of Chile.
