Of nearly 5,500,000 boxes of citrus fruits exported from Palestine during the season of 1933-34, the United Kingdom and the Irish Free State took approximately 3,500,000 cases—an increase of about 200,000 boxes over 1932-33—according to the Palestine Economic News.
Exports to continental Europe amounted to 1,900,000 cases, a rise of 800,000. The greatest increase was in Germany, which took approximately 1,100,000 cases as against 750,000 cases during the previous season.
