Mrs. Edward Jacobs of New York, national president of Hadassah, was accorded an ovation by members of the local chapter of Hadassah when she appeared as guest of honor and principal speaker at the annual donars’ luncheon.
The Jewish Community Center at its annual meeting elected the following new directors: Mrs. I. M. Golden, Walter D. Heller, Mrs. Sidney Kahn, Al Katschinski, Esmond Schapiro, George Levison, Mrs. Morris Gallas, Mrs. Jesse C. Colman, and Arthur G. Lilienthal.
