The influential Catholic monthly, “Schoenere Zukunft,” publishes an editorial today urging that Jewish influence be removed from public life. The editorial supports State Councillor Leopold Kunschak’s proposed ordinance regulating the status of Jews in Austria.

Gradual introduction of the anti-Jewish program is advised by the periodical, however, to obviate the danger of a world boycott.

Kunschak’s ordinance would recognize the Jews as a national minority, introduce the numerus clausus in the civil service, educational and legal fields, and establish separate electoral colleges for Jews.
