Senator Borah, in a statement to the J.T.A., today laid responsibility for the anti-Jewish excesses directly at the door of the german government “It is now being claimed that this awful crime was not organized but spontaneous,” Senator Borah said. “Organized or spontaneous, it is the legitimate fruit of national policy. The Government must be responsible whether organized or spontaneous.”
