It is understood that 200,000 Jews reside in the former Polish territory expected to be ceded to Lithuania by Soviet Russia under the terms the Soviet-Lithuania agreement scheduled to be completed in Moscow tonight.

Lithuanian Jewish organizations immediately began preparations to provide relief for Jews within the territory, who were repotted to be suffering from impoverishment as a result of the war.

It was expected here that Wilno, Lithuania’s ancient capital and an important center of Jewish culture, would be included in the territory ceded to Lithuania. The newspaper Lietuvos Aidas said dispatches from Moscow indicated Soviet leaders were willing to make this concession in return for those demanded of Lithuania.
