Dorothy Thompson to Speak at “rescue Through Emigration” Dinner Today

Dorothy Thompson, columnist, and outstanding leader in the fight against Nazism, will be the guest of honor and principal speaker tomorrow night at a “Rescue Through Emigration” Dinner sponsored by the Women’s Division of the H.I.A.S., at the Hotel Astor, for the benefit of the victims of Nazism.

Hon. Newbold Morris, President of the City Council, Murray I. Gurfein, Assistant District Attorney, and former Supreme Court Justice Mitchell Nay, will be among the speakers at the dinner. The Chairman of the evening will be Judge Morris Rothenberg. Mayor LaGuardia, who is Honorary Chairman of the Committee, is also expected to address the gathering.
