The sum of $35,000 was bequeathed for Jewish religious and philanthropic purposes by the late Albert Kahn, world-famous architect of Detroit and builder of the largest war plants in the United States, it became known today when his will was made public.
The Detroit Jewish Welfare Fund is to receive $20,000 under the provisions of the will; $10,000 will go to the Detroit Federation of Jewish Philanthropies and $5,000 to Temple Beth El, of which Mr. Kahn was a life-long member. The son of a rabbi, Albert Kahn was, at one time, a member of the Board of Trustees of Temple Beth El of which Rabbi B. Benedict Glazer is the spiritual leader.
