A lengthy article reviewing the contributions of the Hebrew University to the development of Palestine in the twenty-five years since it was established is published in the Manchester Guardian today.

The article, which is written by Norman Bentwich, former Attorney-General of Palestine, stresses the contributions to the Allied war effort made by University scientists, and states that much of the economic progress and improvement in health conditions in Palestine and neighboring Middle East countries is the result of the University efforts.

In connection with the 25th anniversary of the institution, it was announced here today that the Imperial Chemical Industries have established an annual grant of $2,000 to finance research activities at the university. The grant will run for seven years.
