The United Nations Special Committee on Palestine today completed its three-day tour of the Galilee district with visits to a modern government farm at Acre, the German-Jewish village of Naharia and the town of Nazareth.
Last night the delegates were taken on a moonlight sail on the Sea of Galilee and then visited the settlement of Ein Gab on the eastern shore of the sea. Here they were given refreshments set out on the greensward. Several of the delegates sat on the grass conversing in their native tongues with the polygot settlers. They were told that the community, which is ten years old, has 200 settlers, mainly from Central Europe. Its chief occupations are agriculture and fishing. It builds its own boats, which fly the Jewish flag.
The committee is scheduled to begin public hearings in Jerusalem on Friday.
