The first meeting of the Israel-Syrian Armistice Commission since the clashes on the northern frontier took place today in Rosh Pinah a frontier settlement, under the chairmanship of Maj. Gen. William Riley, United Nations Chief of Staff.
The Syrian representatives officially notified Syria’s acceptance of the cases fine under issued recently by the U.N. Security Council. The Israel Government last night complained formally to the Syrian-Israeli Mixed Armistice Commission that Syrian aircraft violated Israeli air times yesterday. The flights, all during the morning, extended over the demilitarized zone on the eastern border and a distance westward beyond the demilitarized area.
