Irving Grossman, a prominent actor and producer in the Yiddish theater, died here of a heart attack at the age of 63. Mr. Grossman, who lived in New York City, was on a visit here to see his wife, actress Diana Goldberg, who was scheduled to open in the starring role of the play, “Milk and Honey.”

Born in Boston, Mr. Grossman appeared on the stage in his teens as a protege of the Yiddish stage star, Boris Thomashefsky. He was a former president of the Hebrew Actors Union, a unit of Actors Equity.
