West German President Signs New Law on Nazi Crimes Trials

President Heinrich Luebke has signed the bill, adopted by Parliament, extending the West German statute of limitations for prosecutions of Nazi war criminals for an additional four and a half years. The statute had been scheduled to go into effect on May 8. Under the extension, the effective date will be January 1, 1970.
