Moscow State or Chestra to Play in Israel; Israelis to Pereform in Russia

The Moscow State Orchestra will perform for three or four weeks in Israel in May or June, 1966, it was announced here today by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. The Israel Philharmonic will perform simultaneously in the Soviet Union, according to the announcement.

Scheduled to play here as soloists with the Moscow aggregation, the announcement stated, will be some of the USSR’s most famous musicians, including the violinists David Oistrakh and Leonid Kogan, and the pianists Lev Oborin and Dimitry Bashkirev.
