Gideon Rafael, Director-general of Israel’s Foreign Ministry, met with Georgio Macovescu, deputy foreign minister of Rumania in Rome last weekend, it was announced today. They conferred in accordance with a provision in treaties between the two countries requiring that high level meetings be held periodically.
