Severance pay for members who want to leave a kibbutz–one of the problems preventing many from giving up kibbutz life despite dissatisfaction–is being worked out, the Knesset was told by Shlomo Rosen, chairman of the Knesset Social Services Committee and chairman of the Kibbutz Movement Federation. Mr. Rosen said the payments would be calculated according to the number of years the member had worked on the kibbutz, his age, the number of children and the average maintenance expenditure per kibbutz member the year he leaves.
