Israel and Egypt can reach a partial agreement, but there are no good prospects for an Israel-Jordanian pact, Defense Minister Moshe Dayan told a conference of Jewish student leaders this weekend. The newspaper Yediot Achronot had reported Aug. 23 that Dayan believed a separate agreement with Jordan was possible at this time. Dayan told the students that he opposes total Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank, even in exchange for peace with Jordan.
