The office of Sen. Jacob K. Javits (R. N.Y.), reported that the Senator had asked for police protection in July after the unsolved murder in suburban Washington of Israeli Embassy attache, Col. Yosef Alon. The Jewish legislator has been allied with Jewish causes for many years. His staff said he was given special police protection at public appearances since the murder last Sept. by Arab terrorists of 11 Israeli athletes at the Olympic Games in Munich. Staff members declined to give details of the protection provided to Javits.
