AJCommittee offices go green

The American Jewish Committee announced that all the electricity used in its U.S. offices will be linked to renewable energy sources. The AJCommittee’s electrical supply is now supplemented with a Renewable Energy Credit program that supports energy sources that reduce harmful fossil fuel content in the atmosphere, the group said Monday.Half of AJCommittee’s credits will be generated from the Gray County Wind Farm in Kansas. The other half will be generated from American Municipal Power-Ohio’s Landfill Gas Energy projects in Ohio. AJCommittee also hired Ami Greener to fill a new position as energy specialist.
