At last the mystery of what a rabbi does in his spare time is solved. For Rabbi Jacob B. Krohngold, of the Temple Beth-El, has published the results of his meditations in leisure hours: "Grand Slam Bridge Puzzlers" is the title of the Rabbi's new work, and it consists of 64 pages of cast and west, north and south bridge problems, with all the regular numerals, asterisks, diagrams, and abstruse commentaries.

The co-author of Rabbi Krohugold's bridge puzzler is G. H. Leary, also of Hammond, and the publisher is the W. B. Conkey company, also of this city.

Rabbi Krohngold has occupied pulpits in Lexington, Ky., Niagara Falls, N. Y., Tulsa, Okla., and also saw overseas service as a Jewish chaplain during the World War. He has been an executive director of District No. 2 of the B'nai B'rith, and a field director for the Menorah Intercollegiate Association.

Rabbi Krohngold is well liked in Hammond. Bridge is popular.
