Funeral Services for Baron Alphonse Rothschild in New York on Friday

NEW YORK, Sep. 2 (JTA) –

Funeral services for Baron Alphonse Rothschild, a member of the famous banking family, who died in Bar Harbor, Maine yesterday, will be held here on Friday, it was announced today. The Baron, a brother of Louis and Eugene Rothschild of Vienna, was once one of the leading financiers in Austria. After the seizure of Austria by the Nazis he fled from Vienna and eventually reached America two years ago. He had been in poor health since his arrival here.
