Despite the great transport difficulties caused by the narrow gauge railway being blocked by snow, the Joint Distribution Committee is rushing relief to the city and district of Tchernigov. This district is practically isolated and the situation there is more difficult than in other parts of Little Russia, owing to the slowly improving industrial conditions. By all reports however children’s homes are now amply supplied for the winter, and homeless children adequately clothed.
