The greetings of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee to the first conference of the Executive of the Jewish region in the district of Cherson were brought by Dr. Joseph A. Rosen, representative of the Agrojoint in Soviet Russia.
“I am happy to bring to the first Jewish autonomous district the heartiest greetings of your American brethren. They are divided from you by the ocean but their hearts are always with you,” declared Dr. Rosen in his address before the colonies conference at Sadeh Menucha, where the opening of the Jewish region is being proclaimed.
“American Jewry helps you to help yourselves,” Dr. Rosen declared.
