Germany’s political influence may again be brought to bear on the development of Palestine if the desire of the German government to have a seat on the Permanent Mandates Commission which reviews the situation in Palestine for the League is fulfilled.

Official steps were taken by the German foreign office with a view to securing a seat for Germany on the Commission. Foreign Minister Stressemann has asked the British government to lend its support to Germany’s claim.
