The detailed program of the extended scope of courses to be offered by the humanities department of the Hebrew University during the year 1928-29 was made public today by Dr. Judah L. Magnes, Chancellor of the University.
The courses include Talmudic philology, Gaonica, Hebrew jurisprudence, Hebrew literature, Palestine research, Jewish philosophy, Bible, Jewish socialogy, Arabic literature, Islamic history, Islamic art, modern philosophy, Hellenistic history and Greek literature.
Applicants for admission to the Hebrew University may receive a permit from the Palestine government to enter the country through the offices of the Hebrew University, if such students produce a guarantee from a financial institution in Palestine that they will be in possession of £180 for three years’ expenses.
