Jewish Girl Chosen “miss Europe” in Beauty Contest

Mlle Elizabeth Simon, “Miss Hungary,” who was chosen as “Miss Europe” from among seventeen girls selected by various countries as their most beautiful representatives is, like “Miss Austria,” a Jewess. Mill. Simon is the daughter of a Jewish doctor in Hungary.

The President of the Republic, the Premier, M. Poincare, and many other prominent persons were present at the selection which took place at the Opera last night. Mlls. Simon will now go to the United States to compete against “Miss America” at the International Beauty Contest in Galveston.
