The recently introduced noisy Moslem ceremony of Zikr at the Wailing Wall has been discontinued by a government order. Saturday was the first time in weeks that Jewish worshippers at the ancient wall were not disturbed by the Zikr ceremony. All of the district commissioners have published notices prolonging for one month the ordinance authorizing the police to disperse public assemblies in Jerusalem. The notices add that the carrying of the traditional swords during the Moslem festival of Nebi Musa are allowed by special license.
