Jews need have no fear under the present Government, the J.T.A. was assured to-day in Government circles.

There are among the new high Government officials several men who are well known as friendly to Jews, it was pointed out. State Secretary Planck, for instance, is the son of Professor Planck, the great scientist, who is Professor Einstein’s closest friend. Another man who is known for his friendship with Jews is Privy Councillor von Kaufmann, the new head of the Federal Government Press Department. The new Foreign Minister, too, Baron von Neurath, who was till his appointment Ambassador in London, is well known as a friend of the Jews.

These appointments show that the new Government has no antisemitic tendencies, the J.T.A. was assured, and that it will not encourage antisemitism.
