A considerable number of succoths, the small wooden huts built in commemoration of the Feast of Tabernacles and symbolizing the wanderings of the ancient Hebrews in the wilderness of Sinai, were destroyed in Baden, near Vienna, by unknown vandals on the eve of the holiday. A number of others had swastikas painted on their walls. Police are seeking the offenders.
