That Palish problem is the firm conviction of Morris Rothenberg, president of the Zionist Organization of America, speaking before the Zionist forum at the Hotel Statler

“The idea that culture and education will bring a change is wrong,” he said. “They don’t. It is the college professors, university students, leaders of thought who are the head and front of the anti-Semitic movement in Germany.”

The Zionist leader emphasized the agricultural possibilities of Transjordania.

“Today Transjordania is arid and waste. But Palestine, too, was wilderness until the modern Jewish pioneers came there, feeling themselves to be instruments of Jewish history, and turned it into garden spots.”

David Diamond, chairman of the forum committee, presided.
