Untermyer is Guarded by Police After Speech

Louis Untermyer, noted jurist and president of the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi organization, is being guarded by a police detail as the result of disturbances incident to a denunciatory speech on Adolf Hitler, he delivered last night at a mass meeting of more than 10,000 persons.

A blond youth yelled, “Heil, Hitler!” Another blond, this time a woman, also caused some annoyance. Police took care of them both.

In his attack upon Hitler, Untermyer said the entire world must concern itself with the action of Germany’s dictator. He also declared that America must defend herself “against the insidious activities of Germany’s false rulers.”
