Harvard University is still cosidering action on the proposed Hanfstaengl scholarship, according to word received here from ### Munroe Jr., secretary to President Conant. On June 14 last, a committee of fifty young professional people in Essex County, headed by Abraham Silverstein sponsored a commencement exercise in abse### for German-Jewish students deprived of their degrees and diplomas by the Hitler regime. A resolution was adopted at the exercises denouncing Hanfstaengl’s ### dial reception by his Alma Mater and appealing to the Harvard ###poration to refuse the proff### scholarship by the Hitler aid### A copy of the resolution was forwarded to Cambridge and answered by Mr. Munroe who explained that President Conant was sailing to Europe.

"He wishes me to thank you for sending him your views on this matter," Munroe wrote to the resolutions committee. "Several ###ters expressing different points of view in regard to the acceptance of Dr. Hanfstaengl’s scholarships have been received and Mr. Conant is glad to know your attitude. The matter of the scholarship is still under consideration." The letter is dated July 1.
