The president and the secretary of the autonomous Jewish region of Biro-Bidjan have contributed a laudatory article in Izvestia, the official organ of the Moscow government, upon the Jewish progress in that territory.

The two writers contrast the Soviet policy toward the Jews with the “savage chauvinism and zoological anti-Semitism of the capitalist countries — Germany, Poland and Rumania.”

“Our young autonomous Jewish region will be the granite outpost of the Soviet Union on the Amur River,” the article further states.
