The all-out defense program of the Pioneer Women’s Organization was launched here today with a specially designated “Defense Day.” The membership of the 21 clubs in the New York Council were addressed by Yehudith Simchonit at a mass meeting in the Hotel Astor. The New York chapter’s “Defense Fund” campaign was also inaugurated at the meeting.
On Thursday, the Mizrachi Women throughout the country will register for voluntary national defense activities in response to a call issued today by leaders of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization to their 35,000 members.
