The entire Treblinka “death camp” in Poland has been burnt down by revolting Jews, according to latest reports of the uprising broadcast yesterday by the underground Polish radio SWIT. Earlier this week, the Polish Government was informed that a revolt had broken out in the camp and many buildings were set afire, but up until yesterday no further details were available. The Polish broadcaster stated that many Jews at Treblinka utilized the confusion ensuing from the conflagration to escape.

At a press conference here, in connection with the day of protest at the killing of thousands of children in Poland which will be observed on Sunday, Polish Minister of Labor Jan Stanczyk declared that during the liquidation of the ghettos in Poland thousands of Jewish children had perished side by side with their parents. Meanwhile, it was learned today that discussions between the British and the Polish governments concerning the possibility of sending food to the starving population of the country have been discontinued since the British believe the plan is impractical.
